Hand sculpted illustrations? How in the world do you sculpt an illustration? Well if your Liz Lomax you create three dimensional sculptures then take digital photos of them, thus creating a hand sculpted illustration. And from the looks of it Liz is quite good at it.
She has created work for Mastercard, Officemax, First National Bank, and Wrigley for various advertising campaigns. You’ve probably also seen her work on magazines as well. Small publications like The Wall Street Journal, Rolling Stone, and Time. She also does commission work of some very cool cake toppers.
And what I like most about her is that you can find her all over the internet. She has a very rich and well put together website. She has a video on Vimeo (see below). A portfolio on iSpot. She even dabbles in Twitter. Also a good size photostream on Flickr. And the icing on the cake is her blog which she regular updates, like any good self promoting artist would.
Take a look around at the palaver she is having with the world via the internet. No matter what medium you work in or what level your at as an artist there or so many opportunities on the internet today to market yourself and your work. If you need some help or need some ideas don’t be afraid to leave a comment on this blog. Everyday I help people market themselves with the tools of the internet. I’d be happy to help you too.
Now for that video I mentioned:
