That quote was taken from the website of the Scientific & Cultural Facilities District. This is also taken from the site: Fort Collins and Loveland are exploring a cooperative venture to create an SCFD in northern Colorado based on Denver’s successful program. The SCFD would provide a consistent source of funding to a wide and diverse group of cultural, art and scientific organizations in our communities.
And based on that website this sounds like a project that is in the very beginning stages. At first look it seems like a good thing. Art funding in this part of the country is pretty hard to come by. So if the SCFD can generate some that would be great. Maybe it could fund a Fort Collins Art Festival?
