My New Studio
April 2nd, 2008 Daryle Dickens Posted in Event |
It is late and I really am not in the mood to post. But my little schedule tells me I need to. I did not get to posting earlier because I was working on my new studio space. You may have caught that in yesterday’s post. I am now a resident artist in The Gallery Underground.
This is a new adventure for me. I have never thought of myself as a studio artist but I wanted to be more involved in the art community in Fort Collins. Sharing a space in a great gallery like The Gallery Underground should help me do that to say the least. By renting a space surrounded by great established artists who are further up the road than me I am bound to learn a thing or two as well.
The first big opening is this Friday the 4th and I am not feeling prepared. But I have only been there about two weeks now so I have not had time to produce. I will have a few pieces up and a few works in progress. By the First Friday in May I should have more work up and my space more defined as mine. I’ll keep you all posted.
If your in the neighborhood Friday night it’d be great to meet you. Stop on by.
Thanks,
