Fort Collins MOCA Looking for Emerging Artists

September 15th, 2007 admin

FORT COLLINS MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART would like to invite new and emerging artists to submit their work to the museum. FCMOCA is preparing for art submissions at least twice a year as scheduling permits. Artwork will be displayed in our new gallery space, Gallery 101, a space dedicated to local emerging artists. These exhibits are reserved for artists with little or no experience exhibiting in museum or gallery settings.

Artists are encouraged to submit work which explores new media, ideas, and/or work that speaks to contemporary issues. We are excited to have a space in which new emerging artists can have a professional atmosphere to display their work. Artists who are selected for participation in an exhibition may not submit again for 12 months.

September 12th, 2007 admin

Today I came across a blog post about the world’s largest camera and photograph. And I started to wonder what or who else holds world records in the realm of art. The Guinness Book of World Records only has 9 listings under the “Art and Sculptor” heading.

So if your an artist looking for some attention maybe think about setting a world record. It seems there is room.
